-->
Job Categories
A primary category should be selected based
on the type of job(s) you are most interested
in viewing. For example; if you are looking
for a job as a HR Manager you should select
the ‘HR' category. If you are looking for a
job as a Credit Controller, you should select
the ‘Accountancy & Finance' category etc.
--> Job Search Results
Search results are presented in descending
order of relevance to the criteria which has
been entered into the system. For example; if
you are looking for a Marketing Manager position
on a permanent full-time basis in Dublin North,
then a job for a permanent full-time Marketing
Manager in Dublin North will appear as a 100%
match. If there is a job for a permanent full-time
Marketing Manager in Cork then this will also
appear but as a lower percentage match because
the location does not correspond with the search
criterion.
The wider the criteria selection, the greater
the number of job results, similarly, the more
specific your criteria, the fewer the results.
You can decide which is more suitable for your
job search.
--> Extra ‘Key Words’
Inserting a relevant key word(s) can
help refine your search greatly. You should
insert words or phrases that you would expect
to see in the job title or job description.
For example; if you are looking
for a job in the area of SAP Consultancy, you
will get more specific results if you insert
the key words, SAP Consultant, rather than just
inserting the word SAP on its own or the word
Consultant on its own. If you are looking for
a job as a Web Developer, you will get more
specific results if you insert the key words,
Web Developer, rather than just the word Web
or the word Developer on their own.
For more specific results you should tick the
box marked "match the exact key word(s)".
--> Advanced Job Search Options
The advanced search option allows users
to choose a number of additional search criterions
to help refine their search, such as;
-
Location(s)
This search allows you to choose up to 3
locations. Selecting one location will narrow
your search.
-
Employment Type
This allows you to choose whether
you are more interested in permanent work
or contract work or temporary work. Within
the permanent and temporary work options
you can further specify whether you are
more interested in full-time or part-time
jobs
-

in place to help users with disabilities navigate
easily:
Bypassing
Navigation Bars
To skip over the top and left navigation bar
to the main page content follow the link marked
'skip to main content' or 'skip to job search'
provided at the start of each page. This will
take you to the main page content.
Using
the Tab Key to jump between links

jump from one link to the next. All navigation
bars in the site provide a logical order for
this.
Zooming
in and font sizes
The main content on each page allows for flexible
resizing of fonts to meet user requirements.
If you find that font sizes are too small simply
increase the default font size used in your
web browser software (for example, in Internet

Menu under 'Text Size'). This feature may not
work correctly in all web browsers.
